Description
The Park at Flat Rock consists of 66 acres of prime, flat, open green space at the eastern entrance to the Village of Flat Rock. The Park offers a picnic pavilion, walking trail, playground and tot lot.
The trail is largely flat, and passes by several points of interest. Near the parking lot are two playgrounds, one intended for children ages 0-5, and the other intended for ages 5-12. As you continue, you'll notice several small lakes. Many of these are rain gardens, which are populated with unique native plants, and are home to several animals. You never know what you might see in these ponds!
There is also a nature pavilion along the trail where children and adults alike can go to learn more about the animals that call The Park at Flat Rock home. There is also a pollinator garden, where guests can enjoy native flowers and the insects that pollinate them.
There is a network of trails within the Perimeter Trail that guests can use to make their run as long or as short as they like. No matter what your interests, there is something for everyone at The Park at Flat Rock!
