Birding · Views · Wildlife
There are a few downed trees across the trail, but they are easy to step over or go around.
One Way Only:
This is designated as a directional trail.
Need to Know
When you arrive at the trailhead, you'll park on the side of the road. Make sure to not block the gate. There are no restrooms and there are no fees.
This trail would be easy to run on because it is relatively flat and smooth.
The Bear Creek Overlook Trail has quite a few switchbacks as it makes it way up the mountain. You'll be surrounded by pine trees the entire run, but when you get to the overlook you'll be standing on top of a 500 foot cliff with 180-degree view of the mountains and the valley below! Absolutely stunning!
Flora & Fauna
You'll be surrounded by pine trees and could possibly see many different kinds of wildlife such as birds, deer, bears and more.
