Runner Notes

Access trail to this segment has graveled sections on hills, presumably to retard erosion. Generally, the trail is maintained but wet sections prone to unevenness due to horse traffic.

Description

Altitude map says it all - 300 foot climb then run along one of the many ridges. There are several segments, each marked by a numbered post, mind the number and trail taken to prevent running in circles. Lightly shared with horses, few make it this far.

Flora & Fauna

Usual Southern Indiana animal tracks on trail, coyote, deer, raccoon. Late October after hottest summer on record so not many plants but beautiful fall colors.
