From the Bosque Santiago, head uphill on the clearly marked signs. At first you are making your way through a mess of braided trail and connecting trail. Just follow the established path and you'll soon be running up a ridge at a good pace. After about 1.5 miles, the trail gets steep with some tight switchbacks for 0.5 miles. You start to dome off near the top where you take a hard left to the summit.
