Runner Notes

Sandy with some obstructions.

Description

From the parking lot, head up the trail to where you find the Timmons Oak. The tree is hollowed out and can fit a few full grown adults inside if they're not afraid of insects. After you check out the tree and its big neighbors, continue to the right. After a short way, you pass the Middle Trail to the right but you should stay left. Shortly arrive back where you started.

Flora & Fauna

Some of the tress include live oak, laurel oak, wild olive, American holly, yaupon, and catbrier. Some other plants include ebony spleenwort. Cabbage palmetto. Birds include Carolina wrens, cardinals, and painted buntings. Catbirds, towhees, blue jays, and 22 species of warblers migrate through in the fall.
