Overview

For the 2019, Continental Divide Trail Run, you'll run this as an out-and-back.

Description

From Storm Peak Summit, take Mountain View Trail, which will be a very runnable singletrack, yielding a rolling descent (don't be fooled -- there are some decent climbs in there too). The singletrack will wind through wildflower-filled meadows and dark timber to an intersection at Fish Creek Falls Trail, where you'll turn right towards Long Lake. A short and relatively flat run on FCF trail and you'll see Long Lake, running along its north side until you get to the aid station, turn around at this aid station, and retrace your steps back to Storm Peak Aid Station.
