No parking areas available; trail is generally done as part of a loop.

Description

The Shortcut trail runs from Forest Road 5007 to the midpoint of Schofield/Benson Canyon #5007C and end point of Schofield/Taylor Canyon #5007D. It is used by runners and horseback riders, and traffic is light. The trail surface is mostly made up of large rocks which can make the run somewhat difficult, especially for smaller children. Trail is relatively flat. The trail can be combined with Schofield Canyon #5007A, Schofield/Taylor Canyon #5007D, Schofield/Benson Canyon #5007C, FSR 5007, and Benson Ridge/Bluff Springs #5006 to create loops of varying length.
