Trail 69 connects Watkins Gate Road and Trail 67 to Trail 14 north of Hennekens Ranch Road. The trail loosely follows Watkins Gate, with mostly good footing and a couple of soft sand spots. Most of the trail is in the open, with 0.3 miles cutting through oak forest. The trail follows Hennekens Ranch Rd (paved) for 0.1 miles to a quarter mile connector with Trail 14. Alternately, Trail 14 can be accessed by traveling directly across Hennekens Ranch Rd.
