Description
This trail follows faded blue blazes. It starts off the Northrup Trail, ascends over some small switchbacks, then climbs up the rock walls. After scaling the rock walls, the trail runs left and descends (slightly) to the John Newcomb plane crash. There is a placard, here, with more information on the crash.
The trail runs through a hemlock and spruce forest, which later changes to a beech forest. It passes the South Spur of the Rounds Rock Trail (on the right), crosses over Rockwell Road, then ends at the Woodason Spring Trail.
