This run starts on city property that may not look like a standard trailhead. Don't worry—this access is a city-approved access point. You can park along E 43rd or S Scott. Across the street from the grassy area is your access point.

Head straight towards the hill. As the hill descends, take it easy and watch your footing. This section is steep but very short. You'll soon head south, or across the hill. At three quarters of a mile you'll cross a transmission line. From this point, you'll head north, toward the golf course. As you come up the hill, you'll enter a diverse area for vegetation and wildlife.
