Description
Your run will begin with a nice gentle climb up from Jordan Pond. During your ascent, you'll enjoy views of the popular Bubbles and the pond below. The carriage road intersections are well marked with sign posts and runners will turn right at the 10S sign post and follow the carriage road down towards Eagle Lake.
At sign post 7, you'll depart from Eagle Lake and head towards Bubble Pond. As you approach the Bubble Pond Carriage Road trailhead, you see one of Mr. Rockefeller's famous bridges. Follow the trail alongside Bubble Pond. The route skirts around Pemetic Mountain and down past Triad Mountain.
During the final stretch of this run, you'll pass Wildwood Stables, where you'll grind up one last hill before descending to the Gatehouse back at Jordan Pond.
History & Background
The Gatehouse at Jordan Pond was built to serve as a reminder that the carriage roads were meant for non-motorized recreation and have visitors escape to as simpler frame of mind and connect with nature.
