Once a popular 4-wheel drive road, it is now closed to vehicle traffic. Open to foot, bicycle, and horse traffic, this trail is accessible from Pingree Park Road (CR 63E) at the Jacks Gulch Campground entrance (campground closed). This trail will take you up to the Comanche Peak Wilderness boundary where it connects with the Flowers Trail proper. This trail goes directly into the burn scar from the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire and offers amazing views of meadows where life is starting again.

Hikers will have access to a seasonal creek for the first approximate 3 miles, with the next water source being Little Beaver Creek found at Beaver Park further along the trail inside the wilderness area. Expect to see all kinds of wildlife including deer, moose, and bears.

The trail goes steadily uphill with the lowest point near the beginning of the trail being approximately at 8100' and the end being at approximately 8900'. The highest grade will be approximately 10%, making this an excellent hike for beginners and fun, adventurous hike for the experienced. Those looking to practice backpacking will enjoy this trail as it offers excellent opportunities to test new gear and get a good feel for what the experience of backpacking is like.
