Summer Station. Private access from May-August.
Need to Know
Bring water. Wear sturdy and comfortable shoes. If sunny, bring a hat or sunscreen. Shut and latch any cow gates once through to ensure cattle stay inside premises.
The trail first starts on an easy graveled road along the south side of the Ogallala Lake until it reaches stairs near the dam. For the first third of the trail, you are running in shaded trees until you reach a quick incline. After this elevation change, you'll have the rest of the trail to run in the flat, open prairie while viewing the flora and fauna.
