Need to Know

There is no parking near the beginning of Section 31. In fact, there is nothing at all but wilderness. There is no parking immediately at the end either, but there are many choices within the Yahoo Falls Scenic area near the junction of Section 32 and 33.

Description

Section 32 begins at National Park Service boundary just south of Big Creek and ends at Yahoo Arch Trail #602. The trail closely follows the Big South Fork River. This results in many scenic water overviews and several waterfalls feeding the river. There are many large jagged boulders sticking out of the ground with trees growing out of them. Some smaller rocks are completely engulfed by the root system of mature trees. It is quite interesting to see how nature survives.

It amazes me how nature finds a way to thrive. Check out the trees growing out of this huge rock.
