The start of the run is in the tourist camp Pivka jama on the September 23, 2018 at 9:00 clock in the morning. The path is 22 km or 13.6 miles with a total of 1,000 meters or 3,280 feet of vertical gain. The time limit is six hours. The path is marked with tape, flags, and direction signs. There are two refreshment points.

Proteus is an entry-level trail run, suitable for anyone. A great option for those who want to take a long walk in the forest or who can run this length during a lunch break.

There are two refreshment points and a mildly technical ridge from Saint Lovrenc to Planinska gora.

Description

The start of the run is in the tourist camp called Pivka jama. It starts with a short run through a forest. After the start, there is an uphill on the Saint Lovrenc (1,019 m, 2,864 ft.). From here, continue along a ridge to Planinska gora (873 m, 2,864 ft.). Next, there is a steep but short descent of Planinska gora in front of us followed by just a few ups and downs trough a forest before returning back to the finish.

There are magnificent views from Saint Lovrenc.
