Description

The start of this section off Possum Kingdom Trail: West Loop is at an intersection with a trail map. There are two scenic lookouts along this section; Aggie Lookout and Cedar Break.

The trail is essentially a circle around the top of the hill with a spur up and over (Aggie Lookout is basically the top).

From the intersection with the trail map, take the trail to the right. After a switchback, you'll come to another intersection. The easiest way to get to Aggie Lookout is to take a right. A mostly gradual climb from here gets you to another intersection. Left takes you to Aggie Lookout after a bit more climbing. Stop and enjoy the view. There is a cross made of Cedar Logs, and just to the left of that is a faint trail that will take you down to the trail that circumnavigates the hill.

Take a right and make your way to Cedar Break lookout. Continue on and at your next intersection stay right (left will take you down to another trailhead and road). You'll continue to curve around the hill until you reach the intersection for Aggie Lookout again. Stay straight and enjoy the slight downgrade. At the intersection, stay left to reach your original starting point back to Possum Kingdom Trail: West Loop.
