“This short trail leads to an alpine lake.”

This trail is within the Mark O' Hatfield Wilderness and all wilderness rules apply.
There isn't anything particularly distinctive about this trail. It leaves Mount Defiance Trail #413
and heads north through the forest along a fairly level grade. About 0.5 miles in, the trail descends a steep grade to reach the shore of Bear Lake, a lovely little alpine lake. The trail can be rocky at times but is easy to follow. There are a few secluded camping spots at the north end of the lake.
