This is a shortcut trail that divides the east and west portions of Black Oak Ridge Loop. This primitive dirt path leads through thick forest along Black Oak Ridge. When heading south to north, the trail is a steady but never steep descent, and if running in the opposite directions, be prepared for an equally steady but not difficult uphill.
