Leaving the marking post and passing by the Morro do Couto, this trail descends toward Prateleiras peak. The trail is relatively easy for experienced runners; for those who do not have good fitness, it will be somewhat if a challenge. However, the views all along the ridge are stunning. Runners will be able to see Agulhas Negras at the bottom of the trail, and the views from near the top of Couto are just as stunning with views of the majestic Sierra Fina dominating the landscape. Simply incredible!
The trail ends at Pico das Prateleiras where you can either turn right to run to the summit of Prateleiras or turn left to return to the Rebouças shelter.
