Runner Notes

This is mostly a flat, even trail that can get sandy. The lower areas tend to stay wet.

Description

If you park in town, this trail is accessed off of Church Road Bridge. The east side of the bridge has a sidewalk. The trail is a combination of a few trails put in by the county and braided trails that wandering fisherman have created. The trail is generally quite sandy and the ecology is different then what you mostly find in the Piedmont. I suspect his trail can get buggy in hot weather.

Flora & Fauna

Black walnuts and other trees with a good mix of aquatic and arboreal birds.
