Walk About Trail passes through a section of young poplar regrowth, drops down a short segment of ski trail to cross Peepsock Creek on the old rail grade, climbs back out, then winds through mature oaks as it works its relatively flat way towards the Upper Trails.

It drops once into the valley to cross Peepsock Creek on a ski bridge, then climbs slowly again to flats through more mature forest of white pine, maple, and hemlock. It then crosses the pipeline clearing, descends through a hemlock grove, skirts Peepsock Creek, then joins Outer Limits Loop.
