Generally accessible from June to October. Trailhead parking can be crowded, and thievery is often reported at this trailhead.

Runner Notes

Trail is in good condition for running, though some sections have loose gravel and large rocks. Its popularity may make this a choice off-season run. Watch out for horse and cow droppings.

Description

The access trail for Long Gulch Lake is a well-maintained and popular horse and runner trail in the Northeast Trinity Alps. The trail is a singletrack dirt and gravel path that is often combined with Trail Gulch Lake in a large loop. The lake has camping and is deep enough for swimming.

NOTE: Trail Gulch Lake and Long Gulch Lake are switched on most maps.
