“Enjoy this flat, scenic, easy trail along an abandoned railroad line.”
— Douglas Hamilton
Features: Fall Colors — Lake — River/Creek — Views
This trail makes for a great run where you can run two abreast.
The trail starts at a sign for the Denver Pacific Railroad. It is relatively flat with a soft gravel bed. There are a few spots where you need to run through some boulders. The first mile of the trail is through the forest, but after a mile the north side of the trail opens up and you have great views of the valley.
