A twisty winding descent from Sky Valley Road to Rifle Trail.

Pete Kemppainen

Features -none-

DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and bikers. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

There are a few up-downs at the beginning, but then the trail tightens up. The descent it twisty and winding and gets progressively steeper going from south to north to connect from Sky Valley Road to Rifle Trail.
