This is a road, and probably not a very interesting run, but can be used if you're looking for milage and elevation gain. 2,000 feet of climbing in 4.5 miles. The shorter climb stops at the Fiske Creek trailhead. There you have 880 feet of elevation in 2.3 miles.

The climbing is pretty sustained, but there are a couple of places where the grade slacks off just a bit, but not many!

As seen on the map, Rd. 40 extends much further west than the extent of current mapping.
