“A wide, grassy trail that goes from Gandy Creek to the Allegheny Mountain Trail (TR532).”— Tim Haggerty
This trail is similar to North Prong Trail (TR 528) in the way that it is singletrack, doubletrack, and no track. The trail overall has no great challenges.
The first two miles coming from County Rd 29 is a nice singletrack run though open understory with good scenery. Then the trail looks more like the logging road that it was originated from as doubletrack.
Occasionally, on ridge sections, the trail will become, what I call "no track." This no track refers to sections going through meadows where you have to follow blazes for the trail disappears for the most part. They are not too wide but follow the blazes to stay in the right direction.
