“Come enjoy this new trail in Tenderfoot Meadows between Oro Grande Trail and Snake River Bluff.”
— David Jones
Thank the miners for the flumes they built. After a nice, easy section through trees, this trail heads through a section of the flumes. Watch for an 8' quick climb to the top edge of the flume. From here, the trail makes an immediate jog to the right, above a loose slate slope. This trail meanders through a meadow before crossing a bridge and starting to climb.
After a switchback, the trail passes mining memorabilia while going through a wooded section. The trail follows the flume through a miner-cut notch and then switchbacks toward the Snake River Bluff trail. The trail at this point is on top of the flume edge, which is narrow with a steep drop to one side.
