Once you reach the bottom of Mt. Hough 1 at the road, cross it and follow the trail. Once you're on it, you can relax and enjoy the descent! The views on this part of the trail are expansive and there is a bit of exposure, so be prepared.
You know you've reached the bottom of the trail once you get to the train tracks. From here, you can return to the Spanish Creek Trailhead a bit upstream or if you're staying at Feather River camp, you can return to your tent! Very conveniently located!
