Description

Nice in-and-out trail, unique to Florida panhandle. Trail has a variety of flora, some unique to the area such as the Florida Torreya and the Florida Yew. There are some steep ravines to consider when thinking of what types of shoes to wear and who will accompany you on the trail. Definitely a rather strenuous hike. There is a short loop at the end of the trail that offers a great view of the Apalachicola River. I reccomend reading up on the history of the trail as there is a cool backstory to it! The trail is well marked and is an nice little day hike.
