This track covers what used to be the Bennie Creek Trail AND the Bennie Creek Cutoff. The trails have been combined by the Forest Service.

Description

The Bennie Creek Trail is a nice trail through a mixed environment including aspens, open meadow and coniferous forest. The trail follows Bennie Creek which flows year-round most years. There are some cool beaver dams along the way which make nice, still pools in the creek.
The trail starts by climbing a gentle grade, that gradually steepens as you reach the high point. The trail descends in a similar fashion steeply at first, then it eases up in the middle of the descent before diving back into a steeper grade at the end of the trail.
