Description
From the dirt parking lot trailhead, the trail starts right into a grove of forests and meadows with a pleasant ascending grade and some chances to spot some wildlife, especially in the early morning. There are a couple of places where the forest thins out and pretty, grassy meadows appear and make for some enjoyable running scenery.
After approximately 0.75 miles, the trail hits some intermixed steeper ascents and mellow, flatter trails that contour around the canyon. Approximately 1.25 miles in, the trail encounters a really sandy, steep ascent which is less enjoyable but is over quickly. From there, it becomes more solid and mellows out as it continues to the ridge. As you reach the ridge, this trail runs into the
Ridge Trail #157 which is a great singletrack trail with some incredible views.
