“A fun trail with mostly easy grades and some nice views.”
— Marques Munis
Begin the run at the Granite Basin/Katahn Drive trailhead. The trail immediately starts out with a climb, up moderately easy grades, but over sometimes rocky terrain. Trail #341 provides the opportunity for a detour leaving the trail after about 0.6 miles and rejoining the trail at about the mile and a half mark. Towards the top, before passing through the gate, the Willow Connector Trail (#346) breaks away and heads west. To stay on the Willow Trail keep right and pass through the gate to crest the broad saddle. Don't forget to take a breather and soak in the view of the Granite Mountain Wilderness.
After a break, continue on as the trail now descends nice smooth singletrack down pretty easy grades. The rolling terrain winds down slope for several miles. Eventually you'll pass through another gate where the Mint Wash Trail (#345) briefly shares a section with the Willow Trail (#347). Hang a right where the trails fork and enjoy the last mile and a half or so of smooth and easy singletrack.
