“A nice, peaceful, and varying 4.5-mile loop trail with Norris Lake views.”
— Jeff Tidwell
The trailhead is located at a small parking spot of US 441. The trail starts on top of the ridge heading northeast and meets a power line right of way. Ideally, turn left to take the downhill and connect to trail at lake share and follow west. Go around the high water bypass. The trail continues to an intersection to either make the loop clockwise or counterclockwise. Norris Campground is above and to the west of the counter-clockwise loop. Eventually, the trail drops to lake level with a side spur to an island at high water. From here, continue a long steady grade that lead back up the ridge to the trailhead.
