“This riverbank trail is easy but there are some steep grades to the ridge.”
— Jeff Tidwell
Features: Birding — Fall Colors — River/Creek — Views — Wildflowers — Wildlife
This is a great loop trail that parallels the beautiful, cool Clinch River to the east and loops back up the ridge in a northwesterly direction to reconnect with the main trail. Along the way, runners will enjoy beautiful river views, as well as colorful wildflower displays in season. Though there are a handful of steeper portions of both climbing and descending, this trail is well worth the effort.
