“A 6.9 mile trail from Ortega Oaks to Rancho Carrillo”
— John McKinney
Spring · Views · Wildlife
There may be fire restrictions in effect.
Though there are a few steeper sections, there are no super challenging hills on this trail. Starting from the trailhead in Ortega Oaks, the trail ascends quickly up the hillsides. At mile 2 take a right to stay on Bear Canyon Trail
, also sometimes called Verdugo Truck Trail. Pass Pigeon Springs and at Four Corners, stay straight to continue on the trail which eventually ends in Rancho Carrillo.
