Description

Horse Range Creek Trail is a steep and little used trail that intersects Pacific Crest Trail in the Russian Wilderness. The trail is a former road until the Lipstick Lake turnoff, then becomes a steep and rocky singletrack scramble to the Pacific Crest Trail. Remote, brushy, and muddy, Lipstick Lake can be reached from the Horse Range Creek Trail via a difficult and overgrown trail. Reaching Horse Range Lakes (ponds) from the trail involves crossing Horse Range Creek and 2.5 miles of overgrown cross-country running.
