Description
The trail follows the Big Blue River which is home to some cool sites. There are a few old hydroelectric plants along the river that are neat to see. Bring along your fishing pole as you'll have some decent access to the Big Blue River while running.
Along the way, runners can expect to travel on a pleasant gravel doubletrack, which offers plenty of time to take in the scenery around you. As this trail is nearly 24 miles long, it passes through a variety of environments. Along the way, there will be towering cottonwoods and ample undergrowth.
This route continues as the Blue River Trail from the Kansas border down to Marysville, KS.
