Description

The "old" Winding Stairs Trail used to follow this route but it was eventually re-routed as it became too eroded. The Winding Stairs Connector is a direct cut eastward off the new Winding Stairs Trail, a singletrack that follows the ridge and can access the valley through several other (nicer) trails. The descent back to the valley is quick but annoying with loose, small gravel and erosion. Reconnect with the Inlet Trail and go right to Balanced Rock Rd. at Upper Reservoir. Go left (east) at Balanced Rock Rd. to get back to parking lot.
