Description

The Buckeye Trail enters the park boundaries at the Wilson Mills Trailhead parking lot at the southeastern corner of the North Chagrin Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. From the parking lot, cross over the bridge and begin a gentle uphill. At each intersection, follow the baby blue blazes on either trees or signposts. The trail eventually has a steeper downhill to Oxbow Lane South and then continues on flat terrain to Oxbow Lane North. There are many intersecting trails and this could be an out-and-back run or part of a larger (or much larger) loop.

The trail is also open to bikers and horses. Keep your eyes and ears open for bikers speeding along. If encountering horses, give them the right of way and step off the downhill side of the trail to allow the horse to pass. The trail is popular, so please be friendly and say "hi" to everyone else out enjoying the forest!
