This access road begins at the highway and descends west past a residential area. About half-a-mile from the highway it intersects with the eastern portion of the Redtailed Roost Trail. Just past one mile, it connects with the Escondido Spur at the road's low-point. From there, it's a short and easy climb to reach the west portion of the Redtailed Roost Trail before the road descends to end on the Agua Dulce Road.
