“Enjoy lush tundra filled with reindeer moss and punctuated by birch trees. The meadow boardwalks are a nice feature.”

It's a good idea to carry a bell that rings continuously or to make noise so you don't surprise the brown and black bears roaming those woods.
This is a beautiful, moderate run near Port Alsworth. Brown bears, black bears and moose can be seen but not too often. Ptarmigan occasionally break the silence of this forest, boardwalks through meadows break from the mostly shaded path, views of mountains rise through the tree line, and Tanalian Falls is a world class reward to an already rewarding jaunt.
