Runner Notes

Be ready for strong stream crossings in the early summer.

Description

This is a jeep road. There are sections that are steeper than 10% grade on the way up to the Lead King Basin, but mostly the road is a steady incline. There are a couple of stream crossings that are high in the spring and early summer. At the top of the incline (about 4.5 miles from the start), the view is fantastic of the surrounding peaks and Lead King Basin. There are several trailheads that are well marked and start from this road.
