“A fun and winding trail with enough elevation gain to make it a challenge, and enough switchbacks to make it enjoyable.”— Kristen McGlynn
The trail starts with a slight downhill, winding through a more open area and at times crossing an old and faint doubletrack. Once you pass the junction with Akima's Way (stay left), you'll head down a small dip and then start climbing on a fun and winding singletrack, dodging around large boulders and sidestepping between young trees. What used to be a clear cut meadow is now in a stage of revitalization and re-grow.
The trail eventually switchbacks through some final tight turns that can be a bit loose and rocky so just watch your footing. The trail ends at FS894.2D (an unmarked, dirt road). You can turn left to connect to D2 Green for a nice loop or turn right to run up the road for access to D2 and Elk Meadow.
