One doesn't see the faults, only the grandeur and beauty of a modest town when it is viewed from lofty heights.

Features Views

The best views and easiest mobility are in winter months when vegetation is low. Take it slow, as precarious stones may be loose underfoot.

Runner Notes

Continuing down the ridge will eventually lead the runner to the Bomber Dam, however this route is not suggested.

Description

Townsfolk speak of a place where you can run to what offers the best views of our beloved downtown Mena. This is that trail. The trail is marked with with a sprinkling of red ribbon and is overgrown and thorny. Sections of it are unmistakable as a trail that has been here for years but has been recently forgotten in the age of 24 hr news feeds and smart phones.

A good bit of the trail is over a boulder outcropping and requires a keen eye to track; be patient and run with determination, but also use caution. The Trail Run Project mobile app will now lead you to the viewpoint, but it is best to do so when the weather is clear and the sun is shining, otherwise the runner is easily turned around.

Flora & Fauna

Bears, thorns, and forgotten dreams all gather here. Tread with caution, not fear...
