“This run combines a portion of the Perrot Ridge Trail and the Cross-Country Ski/Hiking Trails - East Loop.”— Rick M
The cross-country portions of this trail function as a groomed cross-country skiing trail in the winter and as a running trail in the warmer months. During winter months, the skiing trail is fenced off at points where it intersects with dedicated running trails but park rangers mark alternate routes that allow those on foot to circumvent the skiing trails.
The run starts at the small parking lot just prior to the park headquarters building. It climbs up a ravine to the meet the cross-country trail. The east loop of the trail takes you into a bowl-shaped bluff coulee with a number of smaller inclines/descents that are less technical than the top of the Perrot Ridge Trail or nearby Brady's Bluff Trail - North.
