“The second section of the Lakeshore Trail that runs along the road at the northwest side of the lake.”
— Paul Washburn
Features
Lake
Description
Section 2 parallels the highway for a while and then crosses the highway. The trail then goes up Pelican Point. The trail gets further from the lake and the road but still parallels the highway. The north portion of this trail, just before the Lake Creek Trailhead, is the hardest to follow but is mostly open sage. If you lose the trail, just continue to head toward the highway and the trailhead.
The Lake Creek Trailhead has a vault toilet and good parking.
