Features: Birding — River/Creek — Wildlife
This trail starts at the parking lot just off the southeast side of Holford Road, less than a mile south of US190 PGBT. A restroom and shade structure are present at the entrance.
The trail winds gently up and down with enough elevation gain to get the legs stretched out. About a 1/4 mile after you start, there is a right fork that will lead you down into the forest and ends at a picturesque bench next to Spring Creek. This short out-and-back Spring Creek Forest Spur Trail
is well worth the additional steps. Once back on the main path, continue on to the southeast until you reach Garland Road.
Plenty of birds and wildlife in the forest. Although this is a large paved trail, it does run through a forest and snakes are present. Pay attention.
