This trail begins in the Romero Ruins parking lot. You'll strike out to the southeast and immediately cross over a wide, sandy wash. Just on the other side is a fork in the trail. Going left would have you doing the Romero Ruins Loop, so take a right.

Soon you'll find yourself at another junction. The main trail, which you'll want to stay on, curves to the left, while another path links up with it on the right. Follow the trail eastward and then watch for the trail to curve right (southeast) again and go through some trees.

The trail will curve due south and there will be one connecting trail coming in from the left, but you'll go straight past it. After that junction, the trail will begin to meander through a small wash and as it gets closer!

Bathtub Tank itself is found in the canyon just below a junction where your trail makes a turn to the northwest. If rain or snow melt has occurred then the bathtub will have water in it.

When you're ready to go back, keep going on the loop as it starts to head back towards the big wash on the west side of the small canyon with the Bathtub. You'll wind through the desert for a while.

You'll have a choice to make since there is a junction in the bottom of the wash. Take a right and head down the canyon to the wash, which is the path this profile follows. This profile directs you to cross right over it to a path on the other side.
You're not far from the road at this point, so just follow the path that runs alongside the wash and watch for for the trailhead on your left.

There are lots of trails out here but the main trail is worn. I had a GPS track but only needed it to reassure us that we were on the right track. It was not difficult to follow. Take a map, GPS or Trail Run Project mobile app with the track, and plenty of water.
