Description

This trail rises from Cordilleras Creek to some of the highest points in Pulgas Ridge, with expansive views of the Santa Cruz Mountains and the southern Peninsula. This is one of the longer trails in the park, but the additional effort of running the length of this route is rewarded with spectacular views.

The best views in the preserve are from the top of the Dusky-footed Woodrat Trail. Views of the South Bay, Edgewood Preserve, and the surrounding communities can be seen from here.

Dogs are allowed on the trail, although they should be on leash. There is a portion of the preserve for dogs to be off leash, but the Dusky-footed Woodrat Trail is outside that zone.
