Description

This trail is a classic grind of a climb up one of the most iconic mountains on the East Coast. The trail pretty much stays at a moderate grade throughout, with a few sections of steep scrambling. The footing can be extremely technical in sections and very manageable in other sections. There are a couple of mild rock scrambles near the top and also two ladders that help you get up and over some small rock faces. The trail is an absolute blast. Plus, there is a killer view from the top!

Trail is officially closed due to storm damage. But it looks like a fun climb up to Calloway Peak for some amazing views. And ladders!

Great round trip to Calloway Peak from Daniel Boone parking lot. Should have left earlier... had to use headlamps the last few miles.

Ran to Calloway Peak. Tail clear and dry all the way to the top. It’s in great shape right now. 2.9mi
